DRIVE PHYSIM (BETA)
A downloadable game for Windows
- Drive Physim is a realistic top-down 2D driving physics simulator/game.
Controls:
Movement: | Controls |
---|---|
Move Forward/Reverse: | Up and Down Arrow keys |
Turn the Steering Wheel/Turn the Car: | Right and Left Arrow Keys |
Brake: | Spacebar |
Reset Car Position: | C |
Return the steering wheel to its original position: | V |
Below is more information on how the game works, including an explanation of the realistic mode.
Realistic/Normal Mode:
- In settings, you can turn from normal driving mode to realistic mode. In normal mode, you can drive around easily. It is similar to most top-down car games on Scratch; use the arrow keys to move the car around, but it is somewhat buggy due to collisions. The reasoning for this is that the normal mode wasn't being focused on too much; the realistic mode was my focus for this game. For realistic mode, there is a speedometer on the bottom left of the screen and a steering wheel on the bottom center of the screen. The way the car works is very similar to real cars; however, there is no shift stick. You'll get the hang of it after playing with it for a while. In addition to the realistic mode, use the V key to return the steering wheel to its straight position. You can also use the C key to reset the car's position if you get stuck or for other reasons.
Map:
- There are only two maps right now, and these are the parking lot and the sandbox. To change the map, press on the screen above the title in the menu.
Back to Menu:
- The home button is on the top right corner when you are inside the game. Press on it and you will go back to the menu.
- Remember, this is all in BETA. So don't expect too much from this. Also, don't forget to enjoy!
Credits:
- Google Earth for the parking lot. (I don't exactly know what I could make to replace this.)
- Google for the thumbnail image and some other props, such as the steering wheel.
